Last week Tate got her second ear. Tate has auditory neuropathy which in simple terms means what she hears is mixed up. Cochlear Implants are now a common approach to addressing this issue.

Tate got her first Cochlear Implant earlier this year. It has been so successful she stopped using her hearing aid in her other ear. Because of how well the first Cochlear Implant performed, Tate and her parents wanted to get a second Cochlear Implant as soon as possible. With the help of the Gift of Sound and movie night fundraising events, having two ears is now a reality for Tate.
